Teeth Extractions

Teeth extractions are required procedure when teeth are damaged beyond saving or erupted in an awkward position that may cause harm such as impacted wisdom teeth.
Some of the complications of pain and infection may result requiring the dental intervention to remove the offending tooth or teeth. The extraction is usually done under local anesthetics and/or nitrous oxide analgesia (laughing gas).
This procedure varies from very simple to slightly complicated depending on the condition of the tooth and the presence of infection. But usually, it is done safely and the patient may return home or work when no physical activities are required in their daily chores.
Instructions such as taking soft diet, resting and using ice application on the facial side of extraction are given. Medications may be prescribed after a tooth extraction.
